According to her, the boy hated Russia and sang Ukrainian songs, but after staying in her family, his consciousness changed.
She said this in her interview with propagandists, a fragment of which published journalist Denys Kazanskyi.
In March 2023, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued a warrant for the arrest of Lvova-Belova due to the deportation of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories.
“They still continue their mythology that we forcefully take children away, change their identity, re-educate them in Russian patriotism.
[Всиновлення Пипила] was one of the reasons for the arrest warrant. Because I kidnapped a child from Mariupol, took him into my family – I behave so defiantly…” – claims the Russian ombudsman.
Immediately after that, she told the story of the “re-education” of the adopted teenager.
According to Lvova-Belova, the boy “complicated the general family background”, because after the shelling he experienced in his hometown, he developed post-traumatic syndrome.

She claims that the teenager had a “special attitude towards Russia”, which was allegedly taught in Mariupol schools.
“He always told me: “I love you, you are a mother. And everything else – Moscow, Russia – annoys me.” There were tantrums all the time…” – said the Russian ombudsman.
She claims that she coped with this behavior of the guy with the help of “love”.
“He constantly sat on pro-Ukrainian websites, read all this propaganda, being already in my family. When I saw this, I said: “You have already come to Russia, you need to somehow change your attitude.” – says Lvova-Belova.
According to her, Pylyp said that he loved Ukraine and sang Ukrainian songs. But “gradually a change of consciousness began” and he began to move away from “Ukrainian propaganda”.
The Russian ombudsman assures that now the boy does not want to return to the Motherland. He visits Mariupol once every six months to a year, but quickly returns to Moscow.
We will remind you that in August 2022, Maria Lvova-Belova reportedwho became a foster mother for a teenager who was taken out of Ukraine. Together with other 30 children from Mariupol, he was brought to a sanatorium in the Moscow region.
In 2023, Lviv-Belov toldthat Philip, who was adopted by her, ran after her younger children with the words: “Eat the muskrat.” But then he fell in love with her and started calling her mother.
By data project “Schemes”, before the full-scale war, the boy lived with the ex-husband of his mother, who died in 2017, and his new wife.
This year, Philip turned 18 years old.
