– Tell me, how does a person feel when a completely new page in his biography begins?
– It is a challenge for me to change my life. Another country, another continent. The most important thing is to adapt to the new culture and football as soon as possible. Because it is different in Ukraine than in Uruguay.
– Sometimes it is difficult for a person to decide on less drastic steps, and you have one – from another part of the world – to another part of the world. Did you have any doubts?
– No-no-no. When I learned about the club, its ambitions, all I wanted was to get here as soon as possible. I liked the development strategy, so I took this important step for myself. The medical examination was incredibly long, probably seven or eight hours. But in fact, it should be so, everything must be carefully checked.
– You said that you consulted with Carlos de Pena. How do you even know each other?
– I did not know him personally. My agent was familiar with him. We talked, he told about the country, said that football is difficult there, and people are very kind and generous.
– You said that the championship of Ukraine is from the eight strongest leagues in Europe. Make your rating. From the first place to the eighth. Your rating is essentially.
– For me it is Spain, Italy, England, then France, then, I think, Germany, Belgium. And Ukraine must be somewhere here. I would put it in seventh place. And also, in my opinion, the Ukrainian championship is stronger than the Mexican one.
– You must have been told something about Ukraine, you may have googled something about Ukraine. What is the most memorable fact about Ukraine that impressed you?
– The fact that it is a big country. In general, I took a lot of information from the Internet. I know that you have Andriy Shevchenko, who played for Milan. And also that Ukraine became the world champion in 2019. By the way, I played for the youth national team of Uruguay at that time. We stopped at the 1/8 final stage.
– You said that your idol is Luis Suarez. Do you know him?
– For me, he is the best center forward of all. Unfortunately, we do not know each other, we just trained on the same field.
– What football characteristics do you like the most in him?
– Probably the way he finds these moments to score goals.
– Have you bitten someone in your career like Luis Suarez?
– No, no, no.
– Just kidding, just kidding, what kind of player are you based on your profile?
– My strong qualities are strength, struggle, ability to look for scoring opportunities and generally help the team.
– In the social networks of “Polyssia” you were introduced as our new scorer. What do you think about all this?
– It is important for me that there is such trust. And it gives more confidence in one’s own abilities. A little excited. But over time everything will get better and better.
– What do you think will be the most important thing in the process of your adaptation? Quick adaptation in Ukraine and Polissia in particular?
– These are my teammates – Brazilians, and also the physical training coach Christian, he is my compatriot. Plus, the head coach speaks Spanish. For me, all this will contribute to quick adaptation.
– Is the Mediterranean Sea very similar to the Atlantic Ocean in your native country in Uruguay?
– The sea here is much better than in Uruguay.
– But in Ukraine, the Black Sea is far from Zhytomyr. Will you survive this somehow?
– This is not a big problem. I will survive.
