It is noted that the operatives of the strategic investigation management in the Kiev region together with investigators of the Kyiv Police Investigative Department have established three deals involved in the seizure of apartments.
The real estate equipment organized a 47-year-old resident of the capital, a defendant for a similar crime. As accomplices, he attracted several more people. The persons involved in trust in the victims, made repairs in their apartments, and then – sold real estate.
Among the victims are the elderly people, persons who had financial difficulties or have an asocial lifestyle. After re -registration of all the documents and the sale of apartments, the real owners were just on the street. In one of the episodes, the participant of the equipment even married the future victim
During the searches, at one of the address, law enforcement officers found a resident of Lviv, whom the attackers were transported to the capital. He did not have close relatives and led an antisocial lifestyle, which is why, having an apartment in Lviv, he became a potential victim for scams.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, police seized more than 420 originals and copies of documents, including power of attorney, wills, contracts of sale and sale of real estate and other documentation, bank cards, mobile phones and rough records.
On the basis of the evidence collected to the organizer of the apartment equipment and two of his accomplices, investigators reported suspicions under Part 4 and 5 of Art. 190 (fraud committed as part of an organized group) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers are currently identifying other persons who may be involved in the fraudulent scheme.
