Boxer Fabio Wordley, who recently became the WBO champion, understands why Anthony Joshua agreed to fight Jake Paul.
“I am ready for any opponent in a fight within the framework of mandatory defense. I have always had the attitude of never avoiding rivals, none. If Joshua becomes a mandatory contender, then I will be happy to enter the ring with him. His fight with Paul? Of course, from a sporting point of view, this raises questions. But financially, no.”
“I’m sure 99% of people in the world will agree, every single one of you, that’s crazy money. Joshua must be thinking that he will train for a week or two and take it easy with Paul. Those are very good terms to turn down,” Wordley said.
The Paul-Joshua fight will take place on December 19.
