On December 23, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv extended Trukhanov’s house arrest for another month. Earlier, the court chose this preventive measure in the case of official negligence, which, according to the investigation, led to the death of nine people during bad weather in Odesa on September 30.
In addition to Trukhanov, his deputies, heads of departments of the city council and the utility company “City Roads” received suspicions. The investigation believes that Exmer was negligent in the performance of his duties as the head of the city.
Previously, the Kyiv Court of Appeals left Trukhanov’s preventive measure unchanged in this case. He will remain under 24-hour house arrest with an obligation to wear an electronic monitoring device.
