26% of Ukrainians have experience of practical use of artificial intelligence, while 64% do not use it at all. Every eighth Ukrainian works daily or almost daily.

This is evidenced by the results of the sociological study of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

Among those who do not use artificial intelligence, 12% for the first time hear about it and do not know what it is. At the same time, 26% of respondents have a practical experience in the use of AI: 9% use it irregularly, and 17% – regularly. Of these, 12% do it daily or almost daily, another 5% – several times a week.

“These figures indicate a high level of awareness of the AI (88%), but at the same time a significant gap between knowledge and practice. Only every eighth Ukrainians actively integrated the AI into their daily lives, ”KIIS emphasized.

The most active artificial intelligence is used by young Ukrainians: 54%are among the respondents aged 18-29. In the age group 30-44 years, the share of users is 21%, and among people over 60 years – only 4%.

The study also showed gender and territorial imbalances: 23% of men and 13% of women are regular users. In cities, technology is used much more actively than in villages: 21% against 9%, respectively. At the same time, the level of use increases together with the size of the city – from 13% in small settlements to 25% in metropolitan areas.

Clear dependence is also observed on the financial situation. Only 4% of foods who lack food are used regularly. At the same time, among those who can afford valuable things, this figure reaches 27%, and among the most secured – 39%.

Regarding the attitude to technology, thoughts have been divided: 45% of respondents believe that AI is serious risks and can lead to catastrophes, instead 39% believe that it will contribute to progress and a better future.

Recall that Openai has announced that users will soon be able to buy goods through Chatgpt search.

We have also reported that the Chatgpt-4 neural network demonstrates the possibilities of generating images that are difficult to distinguish from the real ones.
