This project is one of the key infrastructure priorities of Ukraine and is implemented with the support of international partners.
According to the UNIAN correspondent, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, announced at the press conference on the results of 2025 that the financing of the project has already been secured. It is about co-financing from international partners and the Ukrainian budget.
“It is planned. There is money. This is co-financing by international partners and the Ukrainian budget. For us, this is one of the priority large infrastructure projects for 2026. We plan to complete it in the second quarter of 2027,” Kuleba said.
At the same time, he noted that Ukraine already has an example of successful implementation of a similar project ahead of schedule.
“However, I would like to note that we and the Uzhhorod-Chop project, which was completed in August, also planned to be completed at the end of the year, but we did everything to complete it earlier. We did it, Ukrzaliznytsia did it with its employees,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
According to him, despite skepticism from European partners, Ukraine has proven its ability to quickly and efficiently implement large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
“No European believed that we would be able to complete this project in August 2025. But we did it,” Kuleba emphasized.
