“Why do we have bad luck with power and how do we overcome trials?”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua
We, if we can say so, are not lucky with only one thing – with power.
We should elect a new “team of reformers”, starting from 1991, as after only a few months it manages to grow with corruption, influence and money flows. Investments are coming to the country, new players, areas, business segments, and interest groups are emerging. It would seem that this is diversity and development. But with this companionship come conflicts, envy, and endless feuds.

Modern confrontations are not only contract killings or the buying up of deputies, as in the 2000s. These are also custom criminal proceedings, private paramilitary structures, intrigues, raiding, special operations for discrediting and endless wars for spheres of influence. Each industry has its own factions, its own “watchers”, its own schemes and its own little world wars.
Why so? Because everyone is competing for their own, and there is no common goal, for the sake of which it would be possible to lay down weapons for at least a month.
The leadership of the country has always lagged behind the people. The historical problem is simple: in power in Ukraine for decades either outright scumbags or low-level swindlers sat in power.
Frank scumbags are easy to recognize: they are able to steal from the army, medicine, education, children and the elderly. Fraudsters are a different category: they steal only where no one will die, and sometimes even adhere to their own “code of honor” – not to smoke in front of their mother, not to beat animals, to be a nice person.
But the bottom line is the same: the people are moving forward, and the government is holding back.
And despite everything, Ukrainians endure. They tolerate unprofessionalism, corruption, lack of responsibility, lies, manipulation and a complete lack of shame in those who should serve the state, not themselves.
We endured what would have broken other nations forever. For 30 years, we have experienced what would mean the collapse of statehood for any other country:
- three revolutions;
- two overthrown governments of Yanukovych;
- several financial crises;
- COVID-hysteria;
- war in the East;
- full scale invasion;
- blackouts and economic shutdown;
- annexation of the fifth part of the territory;
- medieval torture, mass murders and rapes on our land.
And we still haven’t lost faith. We are still waiting for peace, for Christmas evenings without sirens, for stability, for the normalcy that is long overdue. And we continue to live in suffering that Europeans have not even dreamed of in their nightmares.
But I was also not born into this world to suffer all my life. During my 40 years, I have learned and continue to learn, because the world is constantly changing. I started several businesses – and lost them when the war started. He founded public organizations and projects – only one survived: “City of Strength” NGO. He gave birth to four children who never saw a normal childhood. He built houses, offices, cottages – most of them also remained behind the front line or under ruins. I’m not talking about the cars, real estate and plans that the war erased like dust from the table.
And now I’m starting from scratch. Just like tens of millions of Ukrainians. Although we were not born for war – we were born for a happy future. And I believe that I will see the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, but not mystical – but human. A world in which my children will live with dignity, without fear and hatred. A world where humanity already has enough knowledge to engage in medicine, science, ocean and space exploration – instead of killing each other.
But instead of common development, we complicate the world again and again. It is already so complicated that the head of an ordinary company in Ukraine must be a lawyer, economist, accountant, HR specialist, communicator and strategist – all at the same time. The competition is reminiscent of the Chinese Olympic ping-pong team: the speed of the players is close to the speed of light, and there is a queue of thousands of other great candidates for a place in the team.
But do we need such competition? Is it possible to live well without turning into an exhausted athlete who plays at the limit of physical capabilities?
Ukrainians know the answer to this question as well – it is in our ancient culture and traditions. We have already outgrown our level of pain during the centuries our ancestors suffered under the Russian yoke. And that is why you can work with us at a high rate of effectiveness and awareness.
We have been living at the pace of chronic stress for 25 years – and have learned not just to survive, but to build on the fires. Therefore, Europe can not be afraid to invest more in us and adopt our sustainability in all areas.
We are super reliable.
We are extremely durable.
We are highly motivated.
And yes – in everything.
And we will deal with our own power in the end. Because she simply has nowhere to turn from her people, who have grown up, learned, suffered and become stronger than any corrupt system.
