Details: She is convinced that the issue of re -equipment is “most important” to the European Union, as there is a constant threat from Russia, which can try to attack in a “very short perspective” if countries do not take steps to restrain it.
“If you see what they do with sabotage, hybrid attacks, the use of migrants … trying to destabilize our countries through misinformation, fake news, etc., Russia’s readiness to fight Europe is quite large. I am not sure that it will change, unfortunately,” – said the Prime Minister.
Frederixen comments appeared at a time when US President Donald Trump and Russian head Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone about a potential cease cessation in Ukraine. They did not agree, but stated that they intended to continue the conversations.
Fredericksen skeptically appreciated Putin’s interest in the war.
“When I look at their behavior, it is so directed against humanity, against Europe and everything we believe that they must prove that they want to live a normal neighborhood life with us in Europe,” she said.
According to Frederixen, Denmark, which is one of the most awarded supporters of Ukraine, supports the idea of buying more weapons in EU countries, but still wants to be able to “cooperate with other partners” such as Norway and the United Kingdom.
“The potential in Europe is very high, but some barriers should be changed and pushed because we do not yet produce enough … We still have a peaceful time thinking … I do not think we have a couple of months to make a decision,” Frederixen said.
