THE final league phase matches of the Europa League are taking place RIGHT NOW.

Manchester United travel to FCSB knowing a win will guarantee them a place in the top eight of the table and automatic qualification to the last 16.

A draw may well be enough for the Red Devils as they sit two points above the knockout play-off spots.

It’s a little more complicated for out-of-form Tottenham, who only have one point more than the teams in 9th and 10th.

A win for Spurs over Elfsborg would guarantee automatic qualification to the last 16 of the Europa League.

  • Tottenham 0-0 Elfsborg43. How this game is goalless is baffling.

Son receives a short corner and skips past his man and into the box.

He lays it off to Moore but his shot is brilliantly saved by Pettersson.

  • Jose Mourinho to Tottenham?Surely not? Well, maybe in this competition.

Fenerbahce’s delightful equaliser puts them back in the play off spots.

For a few seconds at least, Jose Mourinho’s side were one of four sides that Tottenham could face in the round of 16!

That’s one to keep an eye on as the night progresses but Anderlecht conceding an equaliser just stops that being a chance for now…

  • Midtjylland 1-1 Fenerbahce41. Former Man City striker Edin Dzeko had a big part to play in this one.

His vision sees him thread a ball into the path of En-Nesyri.

He lifts it over the keeper as he tries to block and into the roof of the net.

  • Ferencvaros 2-0 AZ37. Traore scores a sublime goal from distance to double the lead.

His left-footed strike from outside the box arrowed its way into the top corner.

Robbie Keane, the Ferencvaros manager fist pumps the air in celebration as victory would give them a play-off spot.

Ironically, Spurs could do with the Irishman up top this evening.

  • Tottenham 0-0 Elfsborg36. This game is epitomy of the phrase one-way traffic in North London.

Sarr has a chance as Son cuts it back to him but the keeper makes a good save to deny him.

This is part of the problem for Postecoglou currently, his side are not scoring when in the ascendency, allowing teams to still be in games that they shouldn’t be.

  • As things standBattle of Britain again, anyone?

Tottenham are in seventh as things stand and Rangers moving up to ninth means they could be paired once again in the round of 16.

Spurs’ potential opponents at present are Rangers, Bodo/Glimt, Braga and Besiktas!

  • Rangers 1-0 Union SG33. Ivanovic scores from close range to level the scores.

However, VAR comes to the rescue of Rangers.

The goal iis ruled out for offside.

  • Midtjylland 1-0 Fenerbahce31. Important goal in this game for the table.

Jose Mourinho’s side have fallen behind to a goal from Diao.

That means his team drop into the bottom segment in the table which would mean an early departure from Europe.

The hosts cement their play-off spot as a result also.

  • From Dan King at the Tottenham Hotspur StadiumLucas Bergvall got a big cheer from the away fans when his name was announced, in recognition of a fellow Swede making his name in the Premier League.

The Elfsborg supporters will be even happier with the teenager now as he’s given the ball away a number of times already. Ange Postecoglou has told him twice to calm down.

A pretty low-key start to this game otherwise, a few openings down the left for Spurs but no tough saves yet for Pettersson.

  • Athletic Club 1-0 Viktoria Plzen27. Big goal in the context of the top eight in this one.

Nico Williams is the scorer for the Spanish outfit.

That moves them up to third spot, leapfrogging both Tottenham and Man Utd.

  • View of Craig Mahood watching Rangers vs Union SGA bit of a stop-start opening 25 minutes but Rangers have that all important lead.

You have to feel for Leon King, who sees his big opportunity end just 13 minutes in after a head knock.

Nico Raskin won’t have believed his luck to have a free header from seven yards to open the deadlock.

The delivery from James Tavernier was absolutely different class but this makeshift back four are sure to be tested.

  • Ajax 1-0 Galatasaray25. The pick of the games this evening has its first goal.

Akpom shoots from the edge of the box and the keeper makes a save.

Traore hits the loose ball first time to give the Dutch side the lead.

  • As things standWell, well, well. Rangers move up to NINTH in the table with that opener.

Ironically, a Manchester United goal would move Gers into the top eight as things stand.

Fenerbahce or Braga – who are leading Lazio at the moment to save their Europa League campaign – the current potential opponents for Rangers as things stand.

  • Rangers 1-0 Union SG21. Ibrox erupts as they break the deadlock.

They play a corner short and as it is whipped into the box, Raskin is completely unmarked at the back post.

He heads into the far corner to give Rangers the lead.

  • Goal – Nicolas Raskin (Rangers)
  • FCSB 0-0 Man Utd21. What a chance for the visitors.

Hojlund gets to the byline and cuts it back to Mainoo who is completely unmarked on the penalty spot.

He takes it on first time and sends it sailing over the crossbar.

The young midfielder last scored for the Red Devils in the FA Cup final, an area of his game that must improve.

  • Tottenham 0-0 Elfsborg19. The hosts are dominating possession in this one.

Nearly 80% of the ball has gone Spurs’ way so far.

Sadly for the home fans, they are shooting like stormtroopers currently.

  • As things standWell, not much changes for the three British sides as their potential opponents remain the same.

Such is the complete borefest of the opening quarter of an hour.

  • Rangers 0-0 Union SG15. There are classic European games, then there is this one.

The battle seems to be in the middle of the park but Rangers are putting pressure on but are lacking that final pass.

So far in this one, neither side has had a shot on or off target.

  • Rangers 0-0 Union SG13. Heartbreak for Leon King.

The defender has barely had a sniff with Philippe Clement clearly not an admirer.

A few minutes in he has a head knock after an accidental clash. Five minutes later when chasing back, he goes to ground and clearly signals that he’s seeing double.

Huge disappointment for him given the huge opportunity he had tonight. He’s replaced by Ross McCausland.

  • Ferencvaros 1-0 AZ10. Another home side breaking the deadlock here.

Ben Romdhane with a brilliant header, diving backwards and cushioning it towards the top corner.

That goal takes them from 22nd to 15th in the table.

  • Braga 1-0 Lazio7. The Italians are pretty much guaranteed first place in the table irrelevant to tonight’s result.

Braga on the other hand, need victory to stay in Europe.

They have made the perfect start with an early goal from Ricardo Horta.

As a cross comes into the box, he sweeps it into the bottom corner as the stadium erupts.

  • FCSB 0-0 Man Utd5. The focus for the Red Devils seems to be dominating possession.

There is no urgency to get through the transitions to attack quickly, happy to just pass it around.

Hojlund is already dropping deep looking for the ball.

He spends so little time in the penalty area, his lack of goals should not be rocket science to the coaching staff.

  • Tottenham 0-0 Elfsborg3. The hosts show their intent from the off in this one.

Spurs pile forward and it is worked to Son out wide.

He cuts inside and looks to get a shot away but it is a routine save for the keeper.

Elfsborg look keen to get forward also, they are playing for their European status this evening.
