EU Callas Diplomacy Head warned European leaders from participation in parade in Moscow on May 9

On April 14, the EU Supreme Representative of the European Union on Security and Foreign Policy warned European leaders from participating in military celebrations in Moscow on May 9.

“What was also discussed very clearly, and different Member States spoke about it, so that any participation in parades or celebrations on May 9 in Moscow will not be perceived lightly from the European side, given that Russia really wages a full-scale war in Europe,” Callas said.

“We made it very clear that we do not want any candidate country to participate in these events on May 9 in Moscow,” she added.

According to the Russian media, the Government of the Russian Federation has invited the leaders of China, India and Brazil, as well as the EU country of Slovakia and Serbia, which seeks to join a block consisting of 27 Member States.

Last November, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo announced his intention to take part in the celebrations until May 9 in Moscow.
