The main section of the offensive of the Russian troops in the direction of Pokrovsk – Myrnograd is currently practically surrounded. “The supply lines of the Armed Forces are under great pressure, and it is impossible to hold these settlements for a long time in such conditions,” said the head of the intelligence center of the Estonian Defense Forces.

He added that last week, Russian troops also intensified their offensive in the Kharkiv region – in the directions of Vovchansk and Kupyansk, in the Donetsk region – in the Siversk region, and in the Zaporizhia region – near Gulyaipol.

The increase in attacks is related to worsening weather conditions, which limit Ukraine’s ability to use drones, says Kiviselg.

“As a result, Ukrainian forces are under strong pressure, and Russia managed to achieve local tactical advances. In addition, Russia still has an advantage in the number of personnel, artillery, ammunition and equipment,” he added.

According to Kiviselg, the situation in Ukraine remains difficult, and the progress of negotiations before the onset of winter is of particular importance.

“If a breakthrough acceptable to Ukraine is not reached at the negotiations, the situation at the front will remain extremely tense, and Ukrainian troops will have to fight heavy defensive battles in the coming months,” added the representative of the Estonian Defense Forces.

The Ministry of Defense of Estonia previously predicted that the Ukrainian cities of Pokrovsk and Myrnograd in the Donetsk region could fall in December under the pressure of the Russian occupation army.

Estonian intelligence also said that in the upcoming winter period, Russia will intensify strikes on the critically important energy infrastructure of Ukraine, seeking to cause maximum damage to the civilian population.
