On Monday, August 18, European leaders and leading European policies began to gather in Washington for meeting US President Donald Trump to provide strong support for Kiev.
By 8 o’clock in the evening to the White House building The head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and the NSDC Chairman Rustem Umerov, who head the Ukrainian delegation, also came in. Together with them, Pavel Palis also came to the White House, he carried a map with him.
Around 19:15, NATO Rutte Secretary General Mark Rutte was first arrived at the White House. Following the UK Prime Minister Kir Starmer and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Layen, and the Prime Minister of Italy George Meloni.
Trump announced a “Great Day” in the White House before the meeting, saying that Zelensky “could end the war quickly.” The head of the Ukrainian state, for its part, emphasized that peace should be long, and expressed his hope that partners would be able to ensure the safety of Ukrainians.

Immediately after the Summit of Zelensky and Trump, another meeting will take place in the White House – a multilateral meeting. It will be attended by European leaders, including Iron Ladies EU-the head of the Ursula von de Layen and Italy Prime Minister George Meloni, as well as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Presidents-France Emmanuel Macron and Finnland.
