“It was a great match. I really played very well and I’m happy with how I was able to prove myself in the first match of the season. Sometimes the start of the season is not easy, but after a short break it was really nice to come back and play with this amazing support from the stands in Auckland – everything was exactly what I expected.
In general, I am satisfied with the way I played today. I had a break because last season, unfortunately, I ended the performances earlier than planned. But I had time to rest, recharge and return to good tennis again. I am very happy.”
