The Heart Award award is awarded tennis players who represent their country with dignity, demonstrate outstanding courage on the court and exceptional devotion to the team during Billy Cup matches Gin King.
Having gained 33%of the vote, Svitolina was ahead of Bernard Peru (USA, 27%), Sonay Kartal (United Kingdom, 20%), Victoria MBOCO (Canada, 13%) and ENU Schibahara (Japan, 7%), and for the first time in her career received this distinction.
During the qualification stage in April in Radom (Poland), a 30-year-old tennis player helped the national team of Ukraine to reach the final stage of the tournament for the first time in history, defeating the Swiss Taiman with a score of 6: 4, 6: 2. Earlier that week, she also defeated Polka Maya Khvininsky.
The victory over Switzerland’s representative was for Svitolina 17th in the Single Billi Cup matches, Gin King-so she caught up with Elena Tatarkov in the number of such victories, which is a record for the national team of Ukraine.
Elina became the third Ukrainian who received this award since its foundation in 2009. It was Angelini Kalinini (at the stage of the playoffs in 2023) and Kateryna Bondarenko (in 2016 in the group of Europe/Africa I).
The Ukrainian national team will play against Spain in the final stage of the tournament in Shenzhenzhena on September 17. Team warehouses should be announced by July 21.
