Eddie Hearn – the promoter of the American boxer – commented on the upcoming fight:
“Ennis found himself in a difficult situation – he wanted to have another fight and unify the titles. Instead, we had to agree to a fight with the Ukrainian Chukhajian in order not to lose the belt.
Jaron must show the best boxing and justify the interest of the public. This is important to do in order to continue to receive financial support for future battles. Ennis has all the necessary qualities to prove his strength and show the fans his high level,” said Hearn.
Karen Chukhajian and Jaron Ennis have already met before – in January 2023, the American won a crushing victory by unanimous decision of the judges.
