Promoter Eddie Hearn has hit out at the referee’s decision in the fight between the IBF world lightweight champion Raymond Muratalia and Andy Krusom. The American managed to defend the title, winning by the majority of judges’ votes – 115:113, 116:112 and 118:110.
“If we were given the victory, I wouldn’t say it would be a bad decision. But to be honest, we lost the last round and probably lost the fight because of that. I counted 7:5 – 115:113, maybe even 8:4 – 116:112. But the score 118:110 is a shame. I don’t understand how you can judge a fight like that,” said Hearn.
It’s not right to keep giving rounds to a boxer who just goes forward and hits the block,” Hearn said.
