Could Gossip Girl fans hear the iconic line, “I’m Chuck Bass,” once again? Maybe, because Ed Westwick has revealed that he’s down to step into his character’s shoes for a spinoff.

The actor, best known for playing the villainous playboy turned Blair Waldorf’s (Leighton Meester) devoted partner, was recently asked by Hits Radio UK if he would reprise Chuck Bass if a spinoff came to fruition.

“It would be super interesting to see where Chuck Bass is. I just think it would be really hard to get everyone together,” he said. “You know what? I think anything is possible in this world, so yeah, it would be great to know what Chuck is up to these days — for sure!”

Gossip Girlwhich ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012, followed a group of wealthy teens through their scandalous lives as Manhattan’s elite and how they betray each other for each other’s gain, all while the chaos is narrated by a mysterious, ruthless blogger. In addition to Westwick and Meester, the cast also includes Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Kelly Rutherford, Matthew Settle, Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr.

Elsewhere during his interview with Hits Radio UKWestwick also revealed his favorite scene that he filmed from the show.

“My favorite scene was when I was at the top of the Empire State Building, but not so much because of filming it,” the Sandokan the actor said, referring to when Chuck was waiting for Blair at the top of the famous building during the season three finale. “They let me climb up in the needle of the Empire State Building, which nobody gets to go inside, except like the handyman or something. And it was just really really cool that I got to go up there. I was wearing like a full tux and climbed into this needle.”

He added, “There was that. I mean, there were a million things we had a lot of fun doing. Some of those scenes in the back of the limos were great as well. Super super blessed to have been a part of that show.”

While no spinoff with the original Gossip Girl cast has been announced, a reboot of the show with a new cast ran for two seasons, from 2021 to 2023.

Also on Wednesday, Deadline reported that Cecily von Ziegesar, the author behind the book series that inspired the show, was working on a new standalone novel centered on Blair, but set 20 years after the original novels.
