Today already in Kyiv. I spoke with Chief Commissar Syrskyi: a report on all directions on the front line and our Kursk operation.
Pokrovsky direction – well done. Every soldier, every sergeant, every officer who ensures the protection of our positions.
In general, Donetsk region and the Zaporozhye direction are very difficult conditions, harsh actions of the enemy. But the resilience of our units is crucial. Everything depends on our resilience.
Regarding the Kursk operation: there were attempts by Russia to push back our positions, but we are keeping defined boundaries.
During this week, we added new arms agreements to Ukraine, and this is not only supply, but also production. Every foreign visit is always a conversation about investments in Ukrainian industry.
Our industrial base is capable of producing much more drones, more shells, and military equipment than the financial capabilities of our state allow. But at the same time, there are many partners who for objective reasons cannot help with the supply of weapons: they do not have their own, but they are able to help us with financing. Also, some partners have special technologies that can be applied in Ukraine now – in defense, in our active actions. There is a leadership of countries that unites others in the world for the sake of our joint production work. I thank every partner of Ukraine who has already invested in our Ukrainian “defense”. We have already significantly increased production, in particular of drones, thanks to such investments.
Now in France, we talked about a new model of cooperation – about the creation of joint Ukrainian-French industries in our country. It is being worked out at the level of the ministries of defense. The Danish model is already working, when the governments of partner states attract investments in the production of weapons, and we consider the new, French model as an opportunity to attract investments in the creation of new factories. We are very much counting on this result for Ukraine, and it is a personal task for the Minister of Defense and for the Ministry of Strategy and Industry to ensure the implementation of all our agreements.
Today, I want to celebrate the soldiers of our National Guard of Ukraine, who are fighting together with everyone at the front and have especially shown themselves these weeks. The 12th special forces brigade of the National Guard and, in particular, senior soldiers Roman Zdebskyi and Vladyslav Rusenko. 15th brigade of operational assignment: junior sergeant Bohdan Petrenko and sergeants Yuriy Kolosovskyi and Yevhen Kuznetsov. Also the 1st Presidential Brigade: junior sergeant Vladyslav Skorobagach and lieutenant colonel Volodymyr Zhdanov. And also the special forces of the 2nd and 4th units of the Special Forces Center of the National Guard “Omega”, who are fighting in Kharkiv Oblast and our Donetsk Oblast. We cannot name them now: the boys have particularly sensitive tasks, special work against the enemy. And the result is exactly what Ukraine needs. Thank you guys!
And today I want to celebrate the Ukrainian military chaplains. Spiritual fathers from different denominations who serve so that our soldiers have spiritual support and the right advice, bright hope. It is very important that more representatives of churches and religious communities, all those who work for the spiritual independence of Ukraine, join the military service of Ukraine, be closer to the guys on the front lines – first of all, in combat brigades, exactly where it is most needed. I thank every military chaplain who serves in this way – with our Ukrainian soldiers.
