Over the course of a week, sappers of the State Special Service of Transport checked and cleared of explosive objects an area equal in size to the area of the city of Kalush, in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region.

It is noted that from January 5 to 12, demining teams of the State Special Transport Service discovered, removed and neutralized 1,557 explosive objects. The territory with a total area of 2767.18 hectares was demined and inspected.
The most explosive objects were seized in the Kherson region. – 1159
In total, since the beginning of the large-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, units of the State Special Transport Service have discovered, seized and neutralized 210,299 explosive objects.
Demined (verified) territory with an area of 182,331.67 hectares:
– Motor roads – 1059.86 km
– Water areas – 25.78 ha
– Railway tracks – 2736.21 km
– Power grid lines – 517.50 km
– Gasogoniv – 82.06 km
– The residential area is 380.72 hectares
– Forests – 466.75 ha
Residents of the de-occupied territories are asked not to go out into the fields, forests, forest strips, and water bodies.
Avoid places marked with “Dangerous mines!” markings. Do not drive off the roads to the side! You need to move only on hard surfaces. And if you see a suspicious object, do not approach it, do not touch it and call 101, 102 or 112!

In 2024, 255,000 hectares of territory were demined in Ukraine, but another 1-1.5 million hectares need to be demined. 59 demining groups are working on demining, another 60 are undergoing accreditation.
