During the war, employees of SE “Document” were charged 21 million for “work” in Warsaw and Kiev

Law enforcement officers collected a evidence on the organizers of the corruption scheme with funds of the state passport service – SE “Document”.

Details: On the basis of the evidence collected, eight defendants have been informed of suspicion:

• Director of the State Enterprise “Branch in Poland” and five employees of SE “Document” (former and present) in the waste of another’s property, by abuse of office, repeatedly, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, in large sizes, in the conditions of martial law.
• Two accountants of the state -owned enterprise are suspected of stealing money.

The pre -trial investigation found that the director of the branch in Warsaw in the period from October 2022 to November 2023 signed the acts of completed works to employees who, according to documents, worked simultaneously in Kyiv and Poland. That is, the working day of one employee was 16 hours.

For the provision of services in the Polish branch, employees were charged with a salary in the amount of 250-300 zlotys per hour (at the NBU rate about 2-3 thousand hryvnias). According to the documents, these employees worked in Poland for 150-210 hours a month. For a month for “work” in the Polish branch, suspects received from 250 to 500 thousand hryvnias per employee.

In total, 66 episodes of such charges totaling UAH 21 million have been established, the prosecutor’s office is said. The pre -trial investigation is ongoing, other similar facts of payment for services that have not been provided.

As the UP was specified in the prosecutor’s office, the court elected the director of the Polish branch of SE “Document” a precaution in the form of 24 -hour house arrest. Prosecutors also filed a request for removing her from office.
