“The border service informs citizens that the work of the checkpoints “Palanka – Mayaki-Udobne” and “Tudora – Starokazyke” has been suspended. We recommend citizens to avoid trips to the specified zone and to exercise increased caution,” the message reads.
Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Military Administration, reported that a woman was killed as a result of a Russian drone strike on a civilian car, and her three children were taken to the hospital with injuries and an acute stress reaction.
After repeated shelling of the bridge across the Bay and the forced closure of that route, the road through Mayaki remained the only road connecting Odessa and the south of the Odesa region. However, since it passes through the territory of Moldova for a large part, its movement was complicated.
Currently, it is not known how serious the damage to the bridge over the Dniester in Mayaki is.
