Drone stroke – and record: Russian oil exports reached a maximum of 16 months

Russia has increased marine exports of raw oil to the highest level in the last 16 months against the background of reducing the work of its own oil refineries due to Ukrainian drones.

About it reports Bloomberg.

According to the Bloomberg ship tracking, the average four -week shipment from Russian ports reached 3.62 million barrels a day as of September 21. This is the largest since May 2024.

JPMorgan estimates indicate that oil processing in Russia has fallen below 5 million barrels a day – at least from April 2022. In the usual August -September, Russian plants processed about 5.4 million barrels, so attacks reduced production by at least 7 %.

Despite the damage to the pumping stations, the supply to the export terminals of the Baltic and Black Seas was not reduced: last week, a record 12 tankers were loaded into Primorsky. Reserve tanks on terminals make it possible to maintain shipment until the repair is ongoing.

Meanwhile, production in Russia is growing under the OPEC+Agreement, which raised its quota by more than 400,000 barrels per day since March. Due to the attacks of drones, the company directs more raw oil to export.

The new strengthening of EU sanctions has not yet been in time. US President Donald Trump has connected further measures with the complete refusal of the EU from the procurement of Russian oil, which is unlikely because of the position of Hungary and Slovakia.

The block views customs fees as an alternative to sanctions, because they only need a majority of votes. The following restriction package is also being prepared that can be hit by traders in China and India and accelerate the ban on importing Russian CPGs.

Recall:

Ukrainian drones in Russia’s oil refineries have led to the export of diesel fuel from Russia to the lowest level since 2020.
