Don’t believe in a Ukrainian? Bogachuk’s opponent will fight for the title of world champion

Regardless of the outcome of the fight with Sergey, his opponent will get a chance to fight for the WBC belt”, — write: sport.ua

December 21 Ukrainian boxer Serhiy Bogachuk (24–2, 23 KOs) will enter the ring against the representative of Uzbekistan, Israil Madrymov (10–1–1, 7 KOs).

The match is almost three weeks away, but the Uzbek has learned the name of his next opponent – on February 22, he will fight for the title of interim WBC world champion against Virgil Ortiz (22-0, 21 KOs). Regardless of the outcome of the fight with Bogachuk, Madrymov will still have a chance to win the championship belt.

The Ukrainian boxer’s promoter Tom Leffler commented on the wild situation:

“You spoil your karma when you do things like that. Serhiy has about 90% knockouts, twice sent Ortiz to a knockdown. He is going to knock out Madrymov on December 21, so that there will be no more jokes with the judges. We move step by step. Serhii is confident in his abilities and is focused on defeating Israel,” the promoter said.

Bad Karma to post this. @SBohachuk has over 90% KO ratio, knocked Vergil down twice. He is going for the KO against Madrimov on Dec 21, so there is no more funny business with the judges. @RiyadhSeason @DAZNBoxing #BohachukMadrimov pic.twitter.com/CU532AQ9Qd
