Famous 34-year-old Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov (ATP 38) withdrew from the ATP 1000 tournament in Paris (France).

In the second round, the Bulgarian was supposed to play against “neutral” Daniil Medvedev (ATP 13), but Dimitrov refused the match. The exact reason why Grigor will not continue the fight at the Masters is still unknown.

On October 27, Dimitrov won against the Frenchman Giovanni Mpeschi Perricar (ATP 56) in the 1/32 final match with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 6:1. It was Grigor’s first match since July 7, when the Bulgarian was forced to withdraw from the 1/8 finals of Wimbledon against Yannick Sinner, in which he led 2:0 in sets. In the third game, Dimitrov tore his pectoral muscle while serving.

Dimitrov sent Medvedev into the third round without a fight, in which he will fight against either Lorenzo Musetti or Lorenzo Sonego.

On the 28th, Grigor also played in the Paris doubles with Nicolas Mayu. The Bulgarian-French duo lost to the tandem of Hugo Nys (Monaco) / Edouard Roger-Vasselin (France) in the first round match in three sets with the score 4:6, 7:5, [4:10].
