The tragic news was reported by the daughter of Star Lean Hennesi. According to her, his father “died at home” in New York on Friday, February 28. Next to him in the last minutes was his relatives.
“He died, holding his wife Maru Hennessy and daughter Lie, in the sunlight, surrounded by music and flowers,” the woman said.
The cause of Johannesen’s death was the disease. He fought for a brain cancer for a long time, but there was no chance of recovery. His condition also deteriorated after a spine fracture, which the artist received as a result of the fall in November 2024. The performer’s daughter added that “after a decade of seriously undermined health, he died a natural death.”
“David and his family were deeply moved by the outflow of love and support that they had recently felt as a result that they told about their problem (in 2024, Johannsen confessed to the media that he had cancer – UNIAN). He was grateful that he had the opportunity to communicate with many friends and family before.”
What is known about JohannesenThe musician was born in the United States in 1950. The singer gained his popularity in 1971, becoming a Vocalist of New York Dalls. The team in its repertoire combined various musical styles, in particular, rock and roll, punk.
