US President Donald Trump said he “could not believe” that he called President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky a dictator.
He said this on Thursday, February 27, while meeting with the UK Prime Minister Kiir Start, BBC reports.
He was asked if he still considers Vladimir Zelensky “dictator.
“Did I say that? I can’t believe that I could say that, ”Trump replied.
Reuters correspondent noted that while communicating with journalists in the Oval office, Trump noted that his relations with Zelensky could have become somewhat tense, but he expressed his readiness to cooperate with the Ukrainian leader.
On February 18, Donald Trump made a number of statements during the press conference, which in particular concerned Vladimir Zelensky. The US President has stated the need for elections in Ukraine. He also stated that the rating of Zelensky among the population of Ukraine allegedly was only 4%.

On February 19, Zelensky called Trump’s statement about falling up to 4% misinformation.
Later the US President said that Zelensky is supposedly “refuses to organize elections ”because he has “low rating ”and called it “dictator without elections. “
“The dictator without elections, Zelensky, better let it move faster. He will not leave the country soon. We need to act. It is necessary to act quickly because this war goes in the wrong direction, ”he said, adding that Ukraine allegedly lost 700,000 soldiers in the war, and Russia – 900,000.
On February 24, Donald Trump refused to answer the question if he would call Vladimir Putin a dictator.
