“For” the corresponding bill No. 12349 voted 255 deputies, “against” – two, 19 more abstained.
The document proposes to create a new military administration – cyber forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the main tasks of which will be the increase and effective application of cyberstripation, the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of military advantage over the enemy and the weakening of its capacity by performing operations in the electromagnetic spectrum and cyberspace.
Cybers will act under the direct leadership of the Armed Forces Commissar, and their political activity will be coordinated by the President of Ukraine.
It is noted that the purpose of the bill is to create a military and technical organizational structure within the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to NATO standards, which will be responsible for the Cyerobon of Ukraine, protection of its sovereignty and territorial integrity in cyberspace.
On October 6, the General Staff of the Armed Forces stated that the process of formation of Cybergisil was launched at the request of the Presidential Decree of August 26, 2021 on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of May 14 of the same year “On urgent measures from the Cyerocy of the State”, as well as the Directive documents of the Minister of Defense and the Commander.

The General Staff expects that the adoption of the bill and the support of the Armed Forces initiative to create cyber -forces and the development of combat capabilities in cyberspace “will accelerate the introduction of changes necessary for the fight against the aggressor”.
