Denmark will give € 42 million per artsnayars for Ukraine

Details: According to the Defense Ministry, Danish Defense Minister Troyls Lund Polesen will meet with his Estonian colleague Hanno Petkur.

Among other things, ministers will discuss the further support of Ukraine and the allocation of Denmark about 317 million Danish crowns for artillery ammunition, which will be purchased through Estonia.

“It is very important that Denmark and our close allies continue to support Ukraine’s struggle for freedom. We must further direct our support so that Ukrainians can resist Russian aggression,” Poulsen said.

According to the Danish Defense Ministry, Ukraine has a great need for continuous supply of artillery ammunition of various calibers.

Within the framework of the new help package, Denmark has decided to finance the transfer of various types of artillery ammunition to Ukraine through Estonia.

“Assistance to Ukraine should be provided according to specific wishes and needs of Ukraine. It is good and important that Estonia is able to deliver the desired types of ammunition to Ukrainians,” Polesen added.

Both ministers will also discuss Estonia’s work on strengthening IT security of Ukraine under the auspices of IT coalition.

Recently the head of the Ministry of Defense of Germany Boris Pistorius announced the next package military assistance for Ukraine, which, in particular, will include four Iris-T air defense systems.

In addition, Lithuania intends allocate 20 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of ammunition.
