Argentinian Juan Martin del Potrowho retired in February 2022, said that his life after tennis has turned into a constant struggle with pain.

“My life after the end of my career is daily suffering. Since June 2019, after the first operation, I cannot even climb the stairs without pain. It hurts me to drive a car, sleep, play padel or soccer. This nightmare continues indefinitely.”

According to Del Potro, he will not stop trying to find a solution. However, constant pain and the inability to return to his favorite activities increasingly make him lose strength.

“I was deprived of the opportunity to do what I loved most – play tennis. There are moments when I don’t know how to cope anymore. I’m not iron,” admitted the ex-third racket of the world.

Del Potro has undergone six knee surgeries, but the battle with injury and pain continues, overshadowing even the joy of memories of a triumphant career. We will remind, earlier Del Potro announced that he will play a farewell match against Novak Djokovic.
