“The defense forces of Ukraine continue to strike strategic objects of the military-industrial complex on the territory of the Russian Federation, weakening the offensive potential of the aggressor country. Thus, on October 21, 2025, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ground Forces, the Naval Forces and other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Bryansk Chemical Plant. A massive combined air and missile attack was carried out, including by Storm Shadow air-based missiles, which overcame the Russian air defense system,” the message reads.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicates that the Bryansk Chemical Plant is an important component of Russia’s military-industrial complex, this enterprise produces gunpowder, explosives and components for rocket fuel, in particular for ammunition and rockets that the Russian military uses for shelling the territory of Ukraine.
From the beginning of 2024, military enterprises, refineries and other objects of the fuel and energy complex in Russia and in the occupied territories are regularly subjected to Ukrainian air attacks.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed most of the attacks, stating that the Ukrainian military “consistently carries out measures aimed at undermining the military and economic potential of the Russian Federation, in particular its ability to provide the occupying forces with fuel, ammunition and weapons, as well as with the aim of ending armed aggression against Ukraine.”
