Australian Alex de Minaur (ATP 9) spoke about his defeat by a “neutral” tennis player Danyla Medvedev (ATP 4) in a group stage match of the 2024 ATP Finals Tournament.
“It was a difficult match with a difficult result. I think many factors played a role here. Danylo was incredibly strong today, kept himself confident and played aggressively – I haven’t seen him like that in our past meetings. Of course, I could have played better,” said the Australian.
With this defeat, De Minor practically lost the chances of getting out of the group in the Final Tournament. In the final match of the group stage, the Australian will meet the American Taylor Fritz.
