DBR reported suspicion to three former Yanukovych’s defense ministers

The State Bureau of Investigation has reported suspicion to three former Ministers of Defense of Ukraine, the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. Their actions led to significant losses of weapons, which critically affected the country’s defense. The State Bureau of Investigation has reported suspicion to three former Ministers of Defense of Ukraine, the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. Their actions led to significant losses of weapons, which critically affected the country’s defense.

According to the DBR, from 2010 to 2014, contrary to the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, these officials did not deliberately ensure the strengthening of defense potential, but instead allowed the alienation of military equipment and weapons.

As a result, hundreds of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, anti-aircraft missile complexes, combat aircraft, helicopters, thousands of missiles and millions of small arms and ammunition were illegally sold.

The DBR emphasizes that these weapons were extremely necessary for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the start of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression in 2014 and remains important today.

Investigative actions and expertise confirmed that the decisions of former ministers caused the mitigation and defense capability of Ukraine.

They have now been suspected of treason. In case of absence of the suspects, the selection of precautions and their search will be initiated.
