The staff of the State Bureau of Investigation detained a law enforcement officer from the Kyiv region, who demanded ten thousand dollars for protecting criminal business.

The police officer agreed to cover a group of people who were engaged in growing hemp in the region. The corrupt operation ended in a hot detention.
The criminal scheme worked simply – drug dealers offered police money for “roof” over their activities. The law enforcement officer agreed and determined the price of his services of $ 10,000.
However, the DBR investigators recorded an illegal agreement on time and prevented the further development of drug business under police cover.
The suspected police officer will be charged with bribery, as well as facilitating drug growth by prior conspiracy.
We will remind, the DBR suspects the ex-head of the Department of the Ministry of Defense in losses of 322 million UAH.
The DBR also sent a deputy’s case to the court, who for the money removed the evasion.
