The State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) has documented more than UAH 1 million in the unlawful benefit of persons for the transfer of conscripts across the border. 171 The indictment against the 251 person involved in the evidence schemes has already been sent to court.
This was reported by DBR Director Alexei Sukhachev in a comment on Interfax-Ukraine.
He stressed that the fight against the illegal crossing of conscripts across the state border is a priority in the work of the bureau.
“Quite often such illegal schemes are involved in law enforcement officials, local officials, TCC and JV employees,” Sukhachev said.
It is not only about criminal equipment, but a phenomenon that directly undermines the country’s defense capability.
“Earn in the war, helping men to evade mobilization or illegally leave the territory of Ukraine is absolutely unacceptable. It is a direct blow to the country and for those who defend it every day on the front. Anyone who organizes or promotes such equipment must be aware that punishment will be inevitable, ”the DBR director emphasized.
Sukhachev noted that since the beginning of a large -scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the DBR investigated more than 570 proceedings under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – the illegal transfer of persons across the border.
“Currently, the DBR employees have already sent 171 indictments against 251 persons. In the course of these investigations, more than UAH 1 million of undue benefit was documented, and the property of the persons involved was seized for more than UAH 58 million, ”Sukhachev said.
It is not only about isolated cases, but also about large -scale schemes, he added.
“We are actively interacting with the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service and in clear coordination with the Attorney General’s office. We try to effectively counteract this phenomenon in all regions of the country, ”the Director of the DBR explained.
The police recently reported the suspicion of the organizer of a large-scale fraudulent scheme, to which a lawyer and a cardiologist were involved.
