The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a traffic accident with the participation of a judge of the Kryvyi Rih District Court, in which a child was injured. About this department on February 10.

According to the SBI, around 4:30 p.m. on February 9, a judge driving a BMW hit a boy born in 2014.

“The child was crossing the road with his mother at a regulated pedestrian crossing. As a result of the road accident, the boy received numerous injuries and was hospitalized at a medical facility,” the bureau reports.

The Prosecutor General’s Office clarifies that the 11-year-old boy is in serious condition.

SBI investigators arrived at the scene for primary investigative actions. The Bureau asks eyewitnesses to contact the Department of the Security Intelligence Service in Poltava.

The case was classified under the article on violation of road safety rules, which caused serious bodily injury. In the case of a guilty verdict, the sanction provides up to eight years of imprisonment. The SBI currently does not report on the service of suspicion.

In December 2025, a judge of one of the district courts in the Kharkiv region, while driving a Hyundai Accent, ran over two minor girls. The children were admitted to intensive care.
