DAZV: On the Chernobyl NPP sarcophagus, three more cells were found

The Chernobyl NPP continues to eliminate the consequences after a stroke on the shelter of the destroyed fourth unit. Three centers of corruption were recorded on February 17 in the report of the State Agency of Ukraine for Management of the Exclusion Zone (DIA).

“There are two groups of top (four persons), the third group is fixed for partial opening of shelter structures and extinguishing the cells,” – say in the department.

The agency added that the working lines on five barrels were laid, and the situation is monitored with a UAV with a thermal imagers. 91 persons and 18 pieces of equipment were attracted from the SES.

“The deterioration of the radiation situation at the NBK-OU industrial site and in general at the Chernobyl NPP NPPs is not recorded. No radioactive products have been detected beyond the established boundaries, ”the post indicated.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously informed that a Russian shock drone with a special fighting unit on the night of February 14 hit the shelter of the destroyed 4th power unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. According to him, the Chernobyl shelter was damaged, the fire was extinguished.

Subsequently, Zelensky, communicating with journalists in Munich, stated that the attack could be purposeful. According to him, the drone flew at an altitude of 85 meters, and radars do not see this height.

The International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed that the explosion was at night at the Chernobyl NPP. They also noted that the roof of the NPP sarcophagus crashed, but did not specify whether it was a Russian drone.

The Russian Presidential President Dmitry Peskov stated that he has no accurate information about the attack, but “it cannot be said to be struck on some objects of nuclear infrastructure”, the Russian media quoted. In Russia, they regularly deny attacks on Ukrainian objects, in particular, civilians.

The head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Management of Exclusion Zone (DAZV) Hryhoriy Ishchenko stated that the “deplorable consequences” at the Chernobyl NPP was avoided.
