It’s the most wonderful time of the year — because it’s time to celebrate Halloween in the Dancing With the Stars ballroom!

Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik were eliminated from the show at the end of Halloween Night. Elaine Hendrix was also absent from the show on Tuesday, as she suffered an injury during rehearsals that prevented her from dancing.

Marking another beloved themed episode of the competitive dance series, things got spooky Tuesday night as the couples performed dances inspired by the holiday. This week, the cast notably prepared for the dance marathon (aka the “Dance Monster-thon”), which tasked the full cast to hit the stage at the same time as the judges knock them off one by one, until one pair wins.

During the dance marathon, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas were the final couple standing, earning an extra five points to their overall night score.

While Hendrix was not present in the ballroom, her Halloween Night dance was judged by the panel based on footage of her dance in rehearsal.

Heading into Halloween Night, nine couples remained in the cast, including Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Affleck and Leavitt, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, social media star Alix Earle, The Traitors season three winner (and Zac Efron’s brother) Dylan Efron, actresses Danielle Fishel and Hendrix, conservationist (and son of Steve Irwin) Robert Irwin and comedian-actor Andy Richter.

Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold were eliminated at the end of last week’s Wicked Night, which saw each couple pay homage to the upcoming Wicked: For Good while Jon M. Chu served as a guest judge.

After Halloween Night, four weeks of competition remain. DWTS will crown its 34th winning duo on Nov. 25 in a special three-hour finale. Until then, remaining theme nights include Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the show’s 20th Birthday Party celebration and Prince Night, which falls on the semi-finals.

Joining Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli on the judges panel this week is former professional dancer Cheryl Burke. The two-time mirrorball champion celebrated her return to the ballroom in conversation with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of Tuesday night’s episode, where she promised to be a “constructive and encouraging” judge who is looking to see “authenticity and growth” from the cast.

The couple with the lowest combined total of judges’ scores and viewer votes is eliminated at the end of each episode. Live voting takes place during the East Coast airing of each show and ends shortly after the final performance is completed.
