“Now all my efforts are focused on maintaining a unified approach to security and defense issues, including our policy on Ukraine. Because I believe that Ukraine’s support is an integral part of our own security,” Pavel said.

He added that he discusses these issues with all the leaders of parliamentary parties, which in one form or another will be part of the next government.

“I discussed with them the need to preserve the same principles in the field of security and foreign policy even after the elections. However, of course, now I cannot give guarantees – it will depend much on their results,” the Czech President said.

Prehistory:

  • The Czech Republic is actively supporting Ukraine, among other things, with its projectile initiative – Prague raises money and through its ties in countries that do not want to maintain Ukraine openly, buys artillery shells in them and supplies to Ukraine.
  • Parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic are appointed on October 3 and 4 this year. One of the most likely candidates for the post of head of government in the new office in the event of the victory of the opposition is considered to be the expanser of the country, the leader of the movement of Ano Andrey Babysh. His party ranks first in the ratings before the election.
  • Babysh recently opposed the support of refugees from Ukraine.
