Updated curfew rules have been introduced in the capital, which provide for a number of important exceptions for Kyiv residents.
This was reported by the Telegram of the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.
During the curfew now allowed:
- on foot or by private transport, including a taxi, to go to “Points of Invincibility” or home,
- this also applies to people returning from late-arriving trains at night.
“The curfew is not canceled, but there are necessary exceptions for people,” Tkachenko noted.
“Points of invincibility” can now work around the clock. These are both municipal locations and responsible business establishments that are ready to provide heat, electricity, communication, water and hot tea.
At the same time in the city increase security measures and patrols.
When moving at night, you must have with you:
- an identity document,
- conscripts – military registration documents.
“Security remains a priority, all decisions are implemented under the control of the security forces,” the city authorities emphasize.
In addition, constant verification of “Points of Invincibility” is ongoing, so that they are actually working places of help, and not just formal marks on the map.
Zelensky confirmed that the curfew for some communities can be removed.
The candidate for the post of First Deputy Prime Minister of Energy, Denys Shmygal, believes that Kyiv was very poorly prepared for the challenges of the heating season in wartime conditions.
As of the evening of January 13, 2026, the Kyiv power system was at its highest level of load due to targeted Russian attacks on critical infrastructure.
