In Ukraine, for the first time in a month and a half, there is a significant decrease in the prices of greenhouse cucumbers.
This is reported by EastFruit.
As of mid-November, the range of wholesale prices for greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine varies between UAH 70-100/kg ($1.70-2.42/kg). A week earlier, these vegetables were sold for UAH 100-125/kg ($2.42-3.03/kg).
Analysts call the sharp increase in the supply of imported products produced in Turkey as the main factor in the price reduction. At the same time, vegetables from local greenhouses almost did not reach the market, which is due to the seasonal factor.
At the same time, according to the publication, now imported cucumbers are on sale in Ukraine at an average of 24% more expensive than in mid-November last year.
Currently, most sellers of greenhouse vegetables do not rule out that in the coming weeks, prices for imported cucumbers will continue to decrease due to the gradual increase in the supply of products on the Ukrainian market.
