Edmund McMillen showed trailer MewgenicsAt the presentation of the Nintendo Direct, the creator of The Binding of ISAAC, Edmund McMullen, showed a trailer for his new game Mewgenics, the development of which has been going on since 2012.
The first trailer turned out to be non -standard: most of the video is occupied by a musical number in a short film format. According to the plot, the married couple decides to start cats to compensate for the absence of children. Everything develops into chaos: uncontrolled reproduction, household hell, moral schedule and attempts to escape from the invasion of fluffy monsters.
Games fragments blink episodically. Players will be able to control mutated cats, improve their abilities and use absurd skills – from the call of squirrel to transformation into moose. In the combat system, you can expect RPG elements, as well as non -standard mechanics based on mutations, genetics and interaction between pupils.
The Steam game shows that the visual style will remain “cute”, but the content will be much more gloomy. The game will have scenes with dismemberment, urine, faeces, mats and sexual interactions between cats, the last function can be disabled in settings. Also declared elements of the rouglaik, a large number of unique abilities, procedural generation of events and unstable ecosystem.
Mewgenics release is scheduled for 2025. The game will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
