According to the prosecutor’s office, the supporting metal structure of the Ferris wheel is placed on wooden beams, which are in unsatisfactory technical condition.
“Wooden beams have signs of deep decay, destruction of the wood structure, as well as traces of prolonged exposure to moisture. Some of the beams are partially destroyed, have cavities and crumble under mechanical impact. All this poses a threat to people’s health and life,” the message reads.
The prosecutor also stated that they had reported the suspicion to KMDA officials, who “did not notice the Ferris wheel on Podil, which was operating without any land permits in the historic part of Kyiv.” We are talking about the director of the Department of Land Resources of the Executive Body of the KMDA and the Director of the Department of Territorial Control of the City of Kyiv of the Executive Body of the KMDA.
