Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, met with French Foreign Trade Minister Lauran Saint Marten.
Igor Zhovkva thanked for the support of Ukraine by France, in particular for strengthening of safety and defense.
During the meeting, they discussed joint efforts to consolidate Ukraine’s international support to achieve just and long peace.
Igor Zhovkva and Laurent Saint Marten paid particular attention to Ukraine’s progress on joining the EU, as well as the importance of coordinating the conditions for liberalization of trade in the near future.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office stressed that Ukraine is ready to start the consultation process with the European Commission on Tariff Liberalization.
“The liberalized trade conditions provided by the EU since 2022 for Ukrainian products are extremely important for the sustainability, restoration and economic growth of Ukraine. It also corresponds to the process of Ukraine’s accession to the EU and the support of Ukraine by the European Union during the fight against Russian aggression, ”Igor Zhovkva said.
The interlocutors have agreed to maintain active dialogue with both the strengthening of bilateral trade and the gradual integration of Ukraine into the EU internal market.
