An educational grenade, which was brought to school by a third-grade student, exploded in the Oknyansk support institution of the Podilsky District of Odesa.

Literally: “A nine-year-old student of the third grade of the lyceum brought a training grenade to show off in front of her friends. While playing in the corridor, one of the boys accidentally pulled out the safety ring of the grenade, which led to its explosion. The boy received minor scratches, he did not need medical attention. No one else was injured.”

Details: According to law enforcement officers, the girl received a grenade from a relative, while the parents did not follow up on the fact that the child took a dangerous object to school.

It is noted that an administrative report was drawn up against the child’s mother in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 184: non-fulfilment by parents or persons replacing them of their duties regarding raising children. Such an offense is punishable by a warning or a fine of up to 1,700 hryvnias.
