TikTok star Charli D’Amelio is joining the company of the Broadway musical & Juliet.

She will take on the role of Charmian, a dance-heavy ensemble part, starting Oct. 29 at the Sondheim Theatre, for a three-month run through Jan. 19. D’Amelio has more than 155 million followers on TikTok, making her one of the most popular accounts on the social media app.

Before launching her TikTok career, D’Amelio was a competitive dancer. She also won the 31st season of Dancing With the Stars. The role in & Juliet will mark her Broadway debut.

“I’m beyond excited to join the Broadway community — it’s a dream I’ve had since I was a little girl,” D’Amelio said. “To be able to make my Broadway debut, especially in the cast of & Juliet, is truly a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone.”

& Juliet opened on Broadway in November 2022. The musical reimagines the story of Romeo and Juliet and what would happen next to Juliet if she had survived.

The show is set to a score of pop hits including  “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “I Want It That Way” and “Confident.” The musical features a book by David West Read, a writer on Schitt’s Creek, music and lyrics by Max Martin, direction by Luke Sheppard and choreography by Jennifer Weber.

The musical, which originated in the West End in 2019, currently has a U.K. tour running and began its first North American tour this month. A German production is set to premiere in October.
