She said that the Ukrainian side discussed the details of the budget for 2026 with the head of the mission Gavin Gray and his colleagues.
“The total volume of the program that the IMF offers to Ukraine is about $8 billion for 4 years. This is less than we expected and than we need, but the program with the IMF is the key to receiving financing from other partners, including a reparation loan,” Pidlasa said.

She clarified that the decision of the IMF management on the launch of the program is expected in January, at which time the first payment is planned. The prior condition for starting the program (prior action) is traditionally the adoption of the budget for 2026 within the limits of the deficit agreed with the IMF.
“Regarding structural beacons, the IMF is most interested in increasing state budget revenues, in particular by closing tax avoidance schemes,” the MP added.
