The Cannes Film Festival has officially banned “voluminous outfits” and nudity on the red carpet. Ahead of the start of the 2025 edition, the festival has issued an updated red carpet dress code that effectively bans full nudity and, quote, “voluminous” ensembles. According to the festival on its official charter, nudity is now officially prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival, for decency reasons.
