Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Canada and Prime Minister Mark Carney for introducing a new package of sanctions aimed at Russia’s drone program, digital infrastructure used to conduct hybrid warfare, liquefied gas trade, and hundreds of vessels of the so-called “shadow fleet”.
The head of state announced this in his Telegram channel.
“This is a decisive step that meets Ukraine’s priorities and demonstrates the unity of the G7 countries. Russia only reacts to the force of pressure, so the adopted sanctions are a real investment in peace,” Zelensky emphasized.
The President also emphasized the need for further restrictions in the sphere of trade in Russian energy carriers. According to him, the international community should completely deprive Moscow of the financial resources that are used to continue aggression against Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, awarded state awards to another 585 servicemen who showed personal courage and selflessly performed military duty, protecting state sovereignty. Of them, 280 defenders were awarded posthumously.
We will remind Zelensky awarded 697 servicemen of the National Guard, the National Police and the State Emergency Service. Among them, 127 received distinctions posthumously .
