Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced his intention to allocate further economic aid to Ukraine in the amount of 2.5 billion dollars.
He said this during brief comments to the media together with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Halifax.
“Today we are announcing $2.5 billion in further economic assistance for Ukraine, which will help make available financing from the IMF, the World Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to begin the rebuilding process,” Carney said.
After the bilateral meeting between Zelenskyi and Carney, a joint phone call with European leaders is planned. The consultations will take place on the eve of the meeting of the President of Ukraine with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, scheduled for December 28.
